Care of Stone

One of the benefits of natural stone is its lasting beauty. Every type of natural stone is uniquely beautiful, with variations in color, texture, tone, and veining. Like all natural materials, proper care and maintenance are necessary to preserve its beauty. Here are some maintenance and cleaning tips to help you retain the enduring beauty of your natural stone for years to come.

Impregnating Natural Stone

Impregnating natural stone is an important step in preserving its beauty for as long as possible. Using a penetrating impregnator provides deeper protection against stains and dullness compared to a simple surface impregnator. All our stones are factory-sealed prior to shipping. You can maintain this protection by applying a stone impregnators once or twice a year. Stone impregnators and maintenance products are available on our website and can be ordered directly through the provided link under recommendation below.

Care and Maintenance

Maintaining a stone washbasin is simple:

•Clean the stone regularly with a soft cloth or sponge and a solution of mild detergent, stone cleaner, and warm water.
•Keep surfaces free from dust. Do not allow dirt to accumulate on the stone’s surface.
•To prevent stains, wipe up spills immediately.
•Oils and highly pigmented liquids can penetrate and stain the stone.
•Avoid exposing the washbasin to acidic foods such as lemons or tomatoes.
•Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, and acidic cleaning agents like ammonia, vinegar, alcohol, and window cleaners.
•Do not rub the stone with abrasive cleaning tools such as scouring powder, steel wool, or metal brushes.
